Three jurisdictions, one conversation. On April 14, 2026, KSTM brought together family law practitioners from New York, London, and Canada for an in-person roundtable discussion on the cross-border issues facing binational and cross-Atlantic families today.
 
Co-sponsored by the New York County Lawyers Association (NYCLA) and moderated by Hon. Matthew Cooper (Ret.) of the New York Supreme Court, the panel featured KSTM founding partner Valentina Shaknes alongside Kim Lehal of RWK Goodman in London and Shelly Kalra of Kalra Family Law in Canada. Their discussion covered international relocation standards, the purpose and practical application of the 1980 Hague Convention, and discovery mechanisms, among other timely cross-border divorce and custody considerations.
