Heidi Tallentire Selected for Crain’s New York Business’ Notable Women in Law Award

New York—December 21, 2020—Krauss Shaknes Tallentire & Messeri LLP announced today that founding partner Heidi Tallentire has been selected for Crain’s New York Business’ Notable Women in Law award. This annual award recognizes female lawyers practicing in the New York City metro area for their professional, civic, and philanthropic achievements.

For over 15 years, Heidi has focused her practice exclusively on complex family and matrimonial law matters. She represents high-net-worth and celebrity clients—whose legal issues are often complicated by their significant assets and heightened public profiles—with prenuptial agreements, divorces, and custody issues in the New York City region and in Connecticut.

Outside of her legal practice, Heidi recently served as an adjunct professor of law at Rutgers School of Law- Newark’s S.I. Newhouse Center for Law and Justice, where she taught courses on family law. She previously sat on the board of directors of Sheltering Arms, which seeks to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty through educational and developmental support for children and families in New York, and she was also a board member of Weston United, which provides housing for the homeless and assists those with mental illnesses in New York City.

In her profile, Crain’s highlighted how Heidi is able to skillfully understand her clients’ goals and then build legal strategies to bring them to fruition. Crain’s also noted that Heidi is particularly experienced at representing executives and high-net-worth individuals in the hedge fund, private-equity, and venture capital spaces.
