I bring a balance of strategy and empathy to every case, understanding not just the legal complexities, but the emotional toll it takes. I fight aggressively when my clients’ rights are on the line, but I also provide steady support and guidance every step of the way because they deserve both a strong advocate and a compassionate ally. My goal is to protect my clients’ interests while supporting their peace of mind.

Grace Chamoun Taranto is a passionate and strategic family law attorney who brings deep legal acumen and genuine emotional intelligence to her practice. She represents clients across the full spectrum of matrimonial matters, including divorce, child custody and support, spousal support, and property distribution, and she regularly negotiates prenuptial, postnuptial, and settlement agreements. Grace is also a fearless advocate in cases involving domestic violence, orders of protection, and international child abduction under the Hague Convention. Having begun her legal career as a commercial litigator, she offers particular expertise at the intersection of complex business matters and divorce.

With a warm, empathetic, and approachable demeanor, Grace builds strong, trusting relationships with her clients, helping them feel heard, understood, and empowered in cases where the stakes are not just financial, but profoundly personal. She is a tactical thinker and sharp negotiator who develops strategies carefully tailored to each client’s circumstances. When the situation demands it, she is a fierce courtroom advocate, drawing on substantial trial experience to fight for her clients’ best interests.

Grace has litigated cases in Supreme and Family Court throughout New York City, including Staten Island, and has substantial appellate experience in the First and Second Departments, where she has achieved significant success. She is also a Certified Mediator and Certified Parenting Coordinator, with a strong commitment to child-centered outcomes in high-conflict divorces. In that role, she supports parents as they navigate the complexities of co-parenting, working to minimize conflict and keep children’s well-being at the forefront of every decision.

Grace currently serves as Director and Diversity Committee Chair of the Richmond County Bar Association and is the former Vice President of the Staten Island Women’s Bar Association.

Grace joined KSTM from Blank Rome, where she practiced in one of the nation’s largest matrimonial groups. Earlier in her career, she gained courtroom experience as a student prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York and interned for Magistrate Judge Andrew Peck in the Southern District of New York. She also served as a research assistant and held child advocacy roles with two United Nations-affiliated NGOs, deepening her commitment to protecting vulnerable populations.
